Courses and Conferences

The Center for Loss, run by Dr. Alan Wolfelt in Fort Collins, Colorado offers a wide range of books related to grief and bereavement as well as a series of courses related to death, loss and bereavement.  Courses are offered on site in a 4-day seminar format. Bereavement caregivers who complete five courses (150 hours) are awarded the “Death & Grief Studies Certificate”. Courses available as a one only or as many as you like. They can be taken in any sequence, but Dr Wolfelt suggests taking the course titled “Comprehensive Bereavement Skills Training” first, and it is a required core course for Certification.
