Soul Pancake - My Last Days

Soul Pancake is a website/place to speak your mind, unload your questions and learn what it means to be human.  Today I was introduced to their series My Last Days.  These videos document the struggles and uplifting stories of terminal illness.
I don't have words to describe what watching these videos has meant--all I can say is that I wish they existed when our daughter was dying.
It has been an honour to "meet" these incredible human beings:
Christopher
Ryan
Ann
and Joel.

Thanks for the information, SusanG.  I will check out the Soul Pancake site.  Have you told the story of your daughter elsewhere on the Virtual Hospice site?  If so, could you copy and paste it into this link?  If you haven't posted your story here, could you?  We are a very caring community and welcome you with open arms.  I have found that writing is a great way to deal with my emotions.  In certain circumstances it can even be a cathartic experience.  - ekim

My appologies, SusanG.  I just found your "story" under your posting "Inspiring Note from ER doctor after woman's death goes Viral"

There are other parts of my story peppered around on other discussion forums and there is my recent story:  Traditions, Comfort, Hot Chocolate, and Cheez Whiz on Toast

You are right--writing is very cathartic.  My first published book was about Brenna & it explains her disease from the viewpoint of her best friend.  I'm currently working on a memoir and several other books.Laughing

You are a gifted writer, Susan.  You didn’t simply state the facts of your journey.  You crafted your story in such a way that drew me in.  I felt privileged to hear a very poignant and private part of your family’s life. Thank you so much for sharing your story.   My wife and I have two daughters.  I cannot even begin to comprehend what you have been through.  I wish you peace and love.  – eKim

Thank-you so much for posting Soul Pancakes -- My Last Days.   The YouTubes are truly inspirational.   These young people can teach us older folks how to face death while living our lives to the full.  Blessings
