Many healthcare students and providers do not feel prepared to encounter dying and death.
Join us at a free event where we will explore what makes life worth living in the face of death. We will:
Feature When Breath Becomes Air, the memoir of Dr. Paul Kalanathi, a young neurosurgeon facing terminal cancer.
Watch the Ted Talk from his wife, an Internist, Dr. Lucy Kalanathi.
Participate in a Death Cafe where we will explore how to make the most of our finite lives.
Free of charge. Pizza will be served.
All health science students and healthcare professionals are welcome. Registration is required. |
