medication records

I have been helping a friend, by creating a list of her hubby's meds, and a plan for recording them. She is a blog buddy, and lives in Aussi country, but she sent me a very complicated list, and I converted it into a chart. I'd be happy to do this for someone for whom they might benefit.
I reprint my 'article' here...

It began with MY hubby's own list, which you can see here.

Keeping track of medications or supplements

There are a variety of ways to track one's meds. Either a sheet, upon which one can mark off meds, or place your records sheets in a plastic sleeve. This is what hubby wanted to do.
I made the original in Excel, converted it to a PDF file to print. After 2 weeks he just erases it and starts again.

He erases it every two weeks, and it helps track his supplements, designed to build up his immune system in anticipation of further cancer treatments. (His prostatectomy did NOT get all of the cancer cells and we are awaiting their growth.) We are going to another appointment this week, for the results of his 3-mos. CT Scans, designed to determine when further treatment is warranted. It's been a journery!

Jenn,

This is brilliantly simple and useful, and extremely helpful. Thanks for posting it.

I'm sorry to hear about the prostatectomy not getting a clear margin. Watchful waiting can be so stressful. I'll be thinking of both of you this week when you go to get the results of the 3-month scans. Please let us know how it goes.

I forgot to mention: we hang this on the metal door with magnets, with the nearby counter holding his meds. It's really handy. I bought hubby some sticky pen holders, which hang beside the records, and he just marks his little X on it!

Lee Valley Tools sells these sticky coil pen holders.
