Introducing a new member to the Moderating Team - Katherine
09 nov. 2013, 19 h 47

Please join me in welcoming Katherine Cullihall (KathCull_admin) to the Virtual Hospice moderating team.

Katherine will be helping me (Colleen) with monitoring the discussion forums and keeping our online community welcoming and safe. She'll also help raise awareness about our community so that we can continue to grow and ensure that people who need support and information find us.

Welcome Katherine. Would you like to tell us a bit more about yourself?

Hello Katherine,

welcome to the Forum - I know Colleen will be happy to have your help.
Colleen encouraged me to join the forum and It's been a good experience for me.
Not only do I respond to posts, but I have learned I can also post and receive warm and caring responses from the group on Virtual Hospice.

Best wishes,
NatR
(a retired PSW who became a family caregiver)

Hello
I am coming to you from the centre of Canada - or at least that is our claim - Winnipeg, MB. No snow that has stayed as yet - but like many of you I can feel it coming.

Over the last 40 years I have worked as a nurse in various areas, but for the last 20 primarily in the area of palliative care.

The Canadian Virtual Hospice website is not new to me, but the discussion group is and I am thankful to have the opportunity to learn from and work with Colleen. As Colleen mentioned one of the things I would like to look at is raising awareness about this community across the country - be that rural or urban.  I would value your thoughts and ideas based on your experience.

I am looking forward to us getting to know each other. (picture to follow - figuring out cropping:)

Hi Katherine,

It's great to have you on board. This is such a wonderful place for the many of us who are broken and in need of an understanding shoulder to cry on. It has helped me on many occasions when I feel like I can't take another step and then I find someone else who is newer to this whole process and end up putting my pain aside and reaching out. It's a chain of love. Of course with Colleen treating us like we are all her little chicks, how could we go wrong. Lol! She's amazing.

Anyway, thanks for joining us!
