“When I was 5 years old my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me that I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them that they didn’t understand life.” - John Lennon
I agree with John Lennon’s wise mother. “Happiness is the key to life.” Furthermore, I realize that I am the only one who is responsible for my own happiness. No one else can or should be allowed to have that responsibility.
In those times when succumb to a negative mood, my world tilts from its axis and I need to re-balance, I re-centre myself within a sanctuary of love, peace and joy.
For me, that centre is my family. This is where I re-charge by plugging in to the love from my family.
Not only does this help me break out of a negative mood, but it allows me to share love, joy and peace with others.
What is your sanctuary? How are you most able to break out of a negative emotion and re-centre yourself? Please leave a comment. ~ eKim
