Hello Bev,

We haven't met on the discussion forum before but I was just reading through your thread and thinking that if he or she has not already arrived - you will soon be welcoming a grandson or granddaughter!  

I was also thinking that this will be the first 'holiday' without Charlie - I wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you in the midst of both joy and sadness.

I have stage 4 colon cancer that spread to the lungs as well as breast cancer. I recently stopped working and I have become much more despondent by staying home. I understand your husband's need and desire to work. I was given 1 to 2 years prognosis. This is almost my 4 th year Of survival. I just completed a targeted infusion series of medicine and will find out soon whether it was effective or not. Strangely enough, the cancer skipped my liver. This is rare. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Work is theraputic for many and a huge part of our identities. I was questioned about that as well.
